Labels don’t quite capture what I do, but here’s a short list of how I’ve been described by colleagues:
A creative technologist.
A design engineer.
A skeptical AI evangelist.
A UX designer.
All of these rumors are likely true.
What I Believe
Designing meaningful products and experiences requires a deep understanding of:
What I Do
I design and build software, usually with AI at the center of it. I take ideas from a first conversation with the people who’ll use them to a working product in their hands.
I mostly co-build with AI agents, and I bring twenty years of UX judgment about what should get built in the first place: who it’s for, what they need to do first, where they’re likely to get lost, and when something is ready to put in front of people. Agents move fast, and my job is to make sure they’re moving toward the right thing.

Generative AI and Emerging Tech
Most of my work now has AI at the center of it, in two ways:
Building with AI
Agentic coding tools let me take an idea from design to deployment myself. I've used them to build live event platforms, voice-led research tools, a proposal engine that drafts a full RFP response in about fifteen minutes, and this website.
Bringing people along
Since 2024 I've helped lead my firm's AI rollout. I was one of ten people on the squad that chose our enterprise AI platform, I co-designed the training every employee took, and I co-led a one-day lab where 65 colleagues formed 13 teams that each shipped working software. Designing for people who range from excited to wary is one of the most interesting problems I've worked on.

Recent Work
A few recent projects, from live events to tools built for my own team. There are more in the full set of case studies.
An all-staff session and the app behind it, designed so 80 people could reconnect with a strategy most of them had inherited, and shape what came next.

Balance
Having balance in life is necessary, and everyone needs a creative outlet outside of work (no matter how great their job is). I’m also an avid photographer, and dabble in building awesome physical things. I’m currently keeping myself busy on weekends renovating our 1920’s Victorian home.
